Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a serious mental health condition that can develop after exposure to actual or threatened death, serious injury, or sexual violence . Affecting approximately 6% of the U.S. population over their lifetime, with higher rates in women (8%) than men (4%) , PTSD can significantly impact an individual’s daily functioning, relationships, and quality of life.
